War Horse to be staged in Amsterdam 22 Apr

A first Dutch-language production of War Horse has been announced

The new staging which will feature Adrian's Olivier Award-nominated score will be presented at Amsterdam's Royal Theatre Carre with an all-Dutch cast in partnership with the Holland Festival, Theatre Alliance Foundation and the VandenEnde Foundation.

The Amsterdam production will open on May 30 and run for 16 weeks until September 28. Details (in Dutch) can be found on the Royal Theatre Carre's website.

War Horse can currently be seen in London where the original production won a record-equalling seven Laurence Olivier Awards in 2013, Berlin and on tour in the UK, Ireland and North America. Nick Stafford's adaptation of Michael Morpurgo's novel was originally directed by Marianne Elliott for the National Theatre and created in collaboration with the Handspring Puppet Company.
