CURIOUS INCIDENTALS

Hugely Entertaining

Original music from the National Theatre's remarkable adaptation of Mark Haddon's award-winning novel The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time.

Adapted by Simon Stephens, directed by Marianne Elliott and first seen on the National Theatre's Cottesloe stage in 2012, the production won a record-equalling seven Laurence Olivier Awards, including Best Play, in 2013.

It transferred to the Gielgud Theatre in London's West End in June 2014, and opened to rave reviews on Broadway in October 2014. A six-month UK tour will begin in December.

The CD Curious Incidentals features Adrian Sutton's strikingly original electronic score that perfectly captures and complements a show that bursts with heart and intelligence (Time Out).

Reviews

"Adrian Sutton's soundtrack adds a very special extra dimension to this offbeat tale of a very unusual boy, a garden fork and a dead dog."
Londonboxoffice.com

"Poignant music by Adrian Sutton."
Evening Standard

"A perfect playground for Finn Ross's inspired video projections and Paule Constable's light show, which at times, with Adrian Sutton's soundscape, feels like a shock and awe approach to delving into the wonders and fears of Christopher' singular mind."
Metro

"The drama is accompanied by an ambient, electronic soundtrack from Adrian Sutton, comprising computer bleeps, bloops and glitches that is at once technological and emotive."
Thegizzlereview.com

"A hugely entertaining meditation on the nature of truth and how we present ourselves to each other."
The Guardian

"It works superbly and the production's mixture of narrative and acted scenes often put me in mind of the RSC's gloriously inventive production of Nicholas Nickleby."
The Daily Telegraph

"A supremely enjoyable night at the theatre: illuminating, touching and consistently surprising."
